Recipe: Italian Turkey Bacon Panini

Italian Turkey Bacon Panini

One night I had the munchies so I went to the kitchen and came up with this panini, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!


*2 slices of Italian bread

*4 slices of Turkey Bacon

*2-4 slices of Mozzarella Cheese (shredded mozzarella cheese also works)

*A smidge of Pesto

*1 Large Tomato

Fry the slices of turkey bacon in a skillet on medium heat until your bacon is as crispy as you prefer. Drain the grease off your bacon with a paper towel. Cut the large tomato into 4 or so thin slices. Cut 2 slices of mozzarella cheese or use a handful of shredded mozzarella cheese. Toast 2 slices of Italian bread on a low to medium heat setting. Once the bread has been toasted spread a smidge of pesto on one side of each slice. Layer one of your slices of toast with 2 slices of turkey bacon; shredded or your slices of mozzarella cheese, and your slices of tomato, then another layer of mozzarella cheese, and the other 2 slices of turkey bacon, lastly top it off with your other slice of toast. Note: If your mozzarella cheese is not melting from the heat from the turkey bacon you may want to microwave your sandwich for a couple seconds until the cheese starts to melt. Now your panini is complete, bon appétit (and yes that’s French not Italian but it’s still just as relevant)!
