Blooming in Brooklyn

I love that New York has so many little escapes that make you forget that you’re even in the city, one of my favorite escapes is the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. With the Garden’s vast 52 acres of plants you don’t notice any elements of the city.

There is so much exploring to be done at the Botanic Garden, it is made up of several smaller gardens that are all uniquely curated. I especially enjoyed the Cranford Rose Garden with it’s vast variety of different rose species. The Brooklyn Botanic Garden is a beautiful experience that’s always a different experience with the ever changing plants in bloom.

My outfit was greatly inspired by the light and delicate features of a rose. The blush color of my tank was a color seen throughout the rose garden and the scallop edge resembles the light curves of a rose’s petals. The back opening reminds me of a flower in bloom. I completed this look with some subtle accessories, the nude lace bralette peeks out to add to the simplistic cut of the tank and the Y Necklace with it’s pastel stones adds just the right amount of shine to this color palette. The medium wash jeans with their distressed rips at the knees bring just the right amount of edge to make this outfit casual cute, and tan ankle boots finish off the cuffed jean look with style.
